Hirer Feedback

Don't take my word for it.  This is what matters most!

"The Fender P-Bass was amazing! It felt great to play. And Iain was a kind and lovely person. Thank you very much."
Many thanks to Lou for taking the 1982 Fender Precision on-stage with Japan's Talkhouse, for their UK debut at the Dublin Castle at the start of January. Lou was so good, the band made her a permanent member after the gig - all to do with her talent and stage presence . . . though I like to think the P-Bass helped ;-).

"The guitar brought a truly unique and classic sound and was exactly what we were after. I'd highly recommend working with Iain for any guitar needs!"
The second of two truly vintage guitars hired by Ellis at Good Solder for a recording session with Elliot James Reay at RAK Studios. The 1964 Harmony Rocket H59, loaded with those fantastic DeArmond gold-foil pick-ups and Bigsby, is always going to do the business!

"A beautiful guitar and Iain was a pleasure to deal with throughout. Highly recommended!"
Many thanks to Ellis at Good Soldier for hiring two truly vintage guitars for a recording session with Elliot James Reay at RAK Studios. This one the 1934 National Style O resonator, 91 years old and still knocking it out of the park!

"This was a super great guitar to play on the stage! I think its middle fat sounds fitted to our band Talkhouse and thanks to this, we had a great time at the Dublin Castle in London. Thank you for letting us use this Iain! From Japan Keito Kagita as a member of Talkhouse."
First gig of the year, and something special. Big thanks to Keito from indie guitar band Talkhouse, all the way from Tokyo, making their UK debut at The Dublin Castle on 2 January 2025. The band hired a couple of Fender classics for the gig, with Keito choosing the 2011 Graham Coxon Telecaster, fat tones courtesy of that lovely neck humbucker. Bring on 2025!

"Gorgeous guitar! Such a treat to play it. Iain was extremely helpful throughout the whole process."
A pleasure to be able to help Irish singer/songwriter Sarah Crean out for a second time - this time for her headline show at London's Paper Dress Vintage just before Christmas. With full band, and her own Jazzmaster for most of the set, Sarah hired the 62 Reissue Jaguar for a couple of songs in open tuning - including crowd favourite "Nosebleeds". Look out for more from Sarah in 2025!

"The bass was great, all as described and it sounded brilliant. And Iain was a pleasure to deal with, super helpful at every stage. I'd highly recommend!!"
A first time out for the Beatles bass! Big thanks to Milo Saville at Sony Music for hiring the 1974 Hofner 500/1 for a studio session with up-and-coming band Daydreamers. Yes, all that famous McCartney tone, plus a lot more bite than you'd expect in the bridge pick-up. Going to sound great when released!

"An amazing service! Super quick to respond and very helpful. Can't recommend more, we would definitely use Iain again :) "
Many thanks to Isabel at Hope And Glory PR for casting the early 1970s Epiphone EA-250 in perfect synch with its heritage. Oasis tribute band Shoasis, lined up by Dacia UK to put on a free gig, powered by the same technology that powers their electric cars. Rock And Roll Star!

"Well this was one of the sweetest guitars I've ever handled! It had all the grace and butter of a vintage instrument, while being solid and perfectly intonated as one would expect with a modern replica...perfect condition, and arrived set up and freshly strung... top class!"
Posies and REM guitarist. multi-instrumentalist, and singer/songwriter Ken Stringfellow came to London as part of a series of intimate gigs across Europe at the start of December 2024. For the London show in Shepherds Bush, he hired the 1990 Gretsch White Falcon, and absolutely loved it. A real privilege to have the White Falcon in his hands!

"Iain was amazing, helpful and reliable. Thank you for taking part in our school's Christmas concert, we couldn't recommend him more. We hope we work together in the future again! Merry Christmas :)"
A return hire for the 2010 Peavey MAX 115 bass amp for Parkgate School's end of term show. Many thanks to the organisers for the hire - and I hear the show and the band were fantastic!

"Excellent amp and excellent service as usual. Couldn’t be more happy. Glad to be a returning customer."
Many thanks to Immanuel for the return hire of the 2005 Fender Hot Rod DeVille 410. He does amazing things to give rising artists a performance space, support band and loving audience with Prez & Friends in Newham. A privilege to be able to help them out.

"Hired back in October, found this very last minute and got to play it for the night! Great service, great guitar, very kind host!"
Singer/songwriter Lucy Burman was in London for a long weekend, booked herself in for an open mic session at Bermondsey's Two Bridges, and needed a guitar. And Alex Trimble's Little Martin did everything she needed it to do - perfectly small, perfectly reliable ;-).

"Super accommodating and knowledgeable."
Perfectly compact. Which is exactly what Saoirse needed for an intimate gig at 180 Strand. Two single speaker amps - the 1990s Fender Champion 110 and the 2000 Marshall G-30R. Each very different, both delivered exactly what was needed!

"Hey hey! played the guitar at a radio show in Kent last week and it was fabulous! ♥️ Super easy to hire, great service, great sound! Thanks Iain! x"
Many thanks to Tom and Lukas from Austria's finest, the Luke Andrews Band, for giving Alex Trimble's Little Martin some radio play - live on the Alan Hare show on 95.6 BRFM, community radio for the Isle of Sheppey and Swale (in case you didn't know!). Part of a short series of UK promo events, a mix of interview and performance - and a lot of fun!

"Super happy with this guitar! Lovely and easy to play. Thanks to Iain, I got to play my dream guitar! Hiring process was amazingly straight forward. Highly recommended! Would hire again!"
If you're making your London debut, why not do it with your dream guitar? For Polish singer/songwriter Kamil Sieron, it just had to be the 1996 Fender Jag-Stang in classic sonic blue, with the perfect pedal to match, a SansAmp GT2 amp simulator. Aka Palto Licho, congratulations to Kamil on making his first London appearance, at The Star Of Kings' Breaking Sound night in November, a very special one indeed!

"Perfectly set up and easy to play. Perfect for anyone like myself who is torn between Gibson and Fender, a joy to play. Iain a gentleman and makes the experience of flying in for a gig that bit easier. We’ll be back again for more!"
Big thanks to Ian from Dublin-based Beauty Pageant for hiring the 1975 Gibson Marauder, with its unique humbucker/single coil set-up. Hired as one of three guitars for the band's headline slot at London's legendary Troubadour Club, a Gibson by name and humbucker, and a Fender by tone when flicked to that bridge single coil. Perfect!
