Hirer Feedback
Don't take my word for it. This is what matters most!
"Perfectly set up and easy to play. Perfect for anyone like myself who is torn between Gibson and Fender, a joy to play. Iain a gentleman and makes the experience of flying in for a gig that bit easier. We’ll be back again for more!"
Big thanks to Ian from Dublin-based Beauty Pageant for hiring the 1975 Gibson Marauder, with its unique humbucker/single coil set-up. Hired as one of three guitars for the band's headline slot at London's legendary Troubadour Club, a Gibson by name and humbucker, and a Fender by tone when flicked to that bridge single coil. Perfect!

"Iain has been very helpful and accurate. The guitar was amazing. It was properly set-up, wound and even tuned perfectly. I did not have to touch the pegs through out the recording session. The sound was perfect and legendary. I hope to work with Gods Own Guitars in the near future."
Many thanks to Turkish musician Tibet Agirtan, over in London on assignment, and looking to record new material. He wanted a big and full-bodied acoustic - and chose wisely ;-). The 1993 Gibson J-200, exactly as he says, perfect and legendary!

"Authentic vintage sound, optimal conditions, and excellent communication from Iain. Highly recommend."
The Handel Hendrix House, one of the most iconic locations any of the guitars in the collection have been played. Big thanks to Italian pro guitarist Diego Sampieri for hiring both the 1974 Martin D-28 and 2006 Fender Stratocaster (had to be a white Strat!) for two intimate performances in Jimi Hendrix's bedroom on 18 October 2024 He loved them both, and both of them loved being played in such a legendary location!

"This guitar was great for our cocktail party jam session, and Iain was an absolute pleasure to work with! Would definitely recommend."
When the up-and-coming tech titans gather, it's not all about the next unicorn. Many thanks to event organiser Olivia for hiring the ever-dependable 1997 Yamaha LA-8 for a bit of R&R at October's Elevate Forum in London.

"The guitar was lovely to play, with excellent sound quality. The rental experience was smooth and convenient, the entire process was hassle-free and Iain was amazing, will book again next time I need a guitar!"
It's that Little Martin again! Thanks to Timothy for hiring the Martin LX-1 to record a song for his girlfriend's birthday. True romance - now it can only be a very special day!

"Lovely experience hiring a vintage Gibson Ripper Bass from Iain for a studio session. The bass was exactly what the track needed and Iain made pickup and collection very smooth indeed."
And a lovely experience for me too! Not just any studio, but legendary Konk Studios, founded and still owned by Ray Davies of The Kinks. Big thanks to producer, engineer & multi-musician Miles James for the impromptu tour - and for the hire of the 1974 Ripper for a very specific bass sound. Looking forward to the release!

"I was in London for a show and didn’t want to travel with all my gear. Luckily I found Iain who was extremely helpful with the guitar hire. This Strat was in great condition, felt awesome to play and sounded amazing!"
Not just any show, but headlining at The Jazz Cafe! Big thanks to Ted Feighan, aka Monster Rally, bringing his blend of tropic-tinged and mellow low-fi to this legendary venue on 4 October 2024. He chose the classic 1979 Black Strat to play over his mixes. And loved it!

"This mighty guitar may be small but it has a great sound, much fuller than expected for its size. Iain made hiring so easy - everything was in hand within a few hours thanks to his quick responses and willingness to deliver the instrument. Would definitely recommend this experience!"
Many thanks to Lisa and Scott for the hire of Alex Trimble's Little Martin during their stay in London. With the icing on the cake being Scott shredding on the guitar - at least that's what it looks like in the picture :-).

"Great service - fabulous amp. Iain went the extra mile and dug us out of a hole. Highly recommended!"
This was a pretty unique hire - in an equally unique location. The PorscheNOW Pop-up, a glass box on The Strand in London, not only showcasing the new electric Macan, but a series of events. Burmester Audio put on an intimate gig with Peckham-born RnB star Joel Culpepper - and hired the 65 Reissue Twin Reverb for Joel's guitarist. With the results cut directly to vinyl as part of the package. Big thanks to Rafael and Jan from Burmester Audio for bringing the Twin Reverb into the mix!

"Really smooth process, Iain was lovely to communicate with and was very accommodating."
When your Mustang's out of action, and you've got a rehearsal coming up, it's the right time to try the Kurt Cobain hybrid Jag-Stang. Well, that's what Malady frontman and guitarist Junior Cobbinah thought - all it took was the 1996 Fender Jag-Stang in Sonic Blue to hit the spot!

"Needed to record one song with a 12 string and had to source one last minute. Iain and Gods Own Guitars to the rescue. Perfect condition, ready to play and record, easy collection and drop off, and the friendliest of vibes. Received the deposit back immediately as well. Just the easiest thing. Thank you Iain very much!"
Big thanks to Alex - and to that 30-year-old Yamaha FG-411-12, punching above its weight once again. Looking forward to hearing the final results when released - I know it's going to sound great, having seen Alex running through some classic 12-string covers ahead of the recording!

"Had the guitar for almost 2 weeks. Wonderful sound and perfect service.
The love of lain to his guitars is inspiring. Got the guitar with new strings and some needed accessories.
Definitely will do it again on my next visit in London."
50 years on from his first visit to London, Israeli playwright, script-writer and musician Ofer Knispel decided to celebrate his latest return to the city with a hire of this Little Martin. He loved it! Check out the video in the link for some wonderfully unrestrained joy. Ofer, you're an inspiration!

"It was such a privilege to be able to play this guitar at a gig in London. Iain keeps it in excellent playing condition and was super helpful with the whole hire process. A+."
Brooklyn-based doom-punk band Desert Sharks absolutely ripped it up at 2024's Loud Women Fest, at London's Rich Mix on 7 September 2024. A treat to meet them and to kit them out with a trio of classic Fenders: a 1972 P-Bass for Stephanie, a 2006 62 Reissue Jaguar for Cait, and this 1979 Black Strat for Sunny. Always delivers!

"A magnificent instrument. A joy to play."
Marc wanted something special to play for his brother's wedding ceremony and reception, a brave enough thing to do in itself, so the guitar had to do the job perfectly. He chose just as perfectly - the 60 Reissue Cherry Dot ES-335, paired with a Fender Champion 110 amp. Sounds like he loved it!
