Hirer Feedback

Don't take my word for it.  This is what matters most!

"The amp (Fender 65 Twin Reverb) was incredible. Rich tone and great reverb. Iain is a really nice guy and the pick-up / drop-off process was seamless. Highly recommend."

You can't beat a Fender Twin Reverb, and Robbie fell in love with this one, playing at a summer garden party. All that signature tone and lush reverb - irresistible! An absolute classic!

"Fantastic again and a very lovely amp! "

Big thanks to international classical guitarist Laura Snowden for the return hire of the 2007 AER Compact 60/2 acoustic amp. Two June performances with the Berkeley Ensemble, at London's iconic St John's Smith Square, and St Augustine's Church Luton. Both magical!

"Great guitar - just hired it - used for rehearsal with a few mates - super smooth (love the rosewood fret board and humbucker at neck!!!!)"

Anyone that plays the Graham Coxon Telecaster is blown away by it - and return hirer Howard's just joined the gang! He usually hires the Lake Placid Blue Telecaster, but that was out with another hirer, so he tried the Coxon Tele, and loved it. Amazingly versatile guitar - everyone should try it!

"Iain's service was excellent throughout the process and he was knowledgeable and friendly throughout."

Great to hire to Neil, playing a full Pat Metheny tribute set with the Duke Street Big Band in June. Neil modestly says he's an OK guitarist, but the bar is set higher than I'd dream of if it's Pat Metheny you're playing! A lovely jazz/prog outing for the very versatile 2016 Fender Blues Junior :-).

"Working with Iain was a breeze. The items I rented (a guitar and a bass) were in excellent condition, exactly as described. His service was also fantastic - he delivered the items to my door, then picked them up there, which made my life a lot easier. Friendly and professional. Excellent experience."

Susan was over from New York and in need of a guitar and bass for practice ahead of a gig on her return. A classic pair of Fenders - 2006 Fender Stratocaster and 1982 Fender Precision - absolutely did the job. Good luck with the gig Susan!

"Thxxxx so much for everything. Good 2 hear u got the guitar back safe n sound. It plays like a dream!"

Thanks to international player Jitwam for taking the 1996 Fender Jag-Stang on stage with him at Cross The Tracks Festival in Brockwell Park at the end of May. Blew the canvas off the tent - and it was a large tent! Incontestable evidence, if you needed it, that a Jag-Stang doesn't just do grunge!

"The instrument arrived in superb condition, and working with Iain was a breeze and a delight. Definitely get your guitars from here!"

Big thanks to return hirer Tuomas, from Finnish band Airi's. Back in London for a run of gigs and open mics, kicking off with a debut at London's legendary Dublin Castle. An Arctic White Strat for Tuomas, a gorgeous natural Epiphone Sheraton for fellow-guitarist Joni, and a vintage Jazz Bass for bassist Julius. Blew the roof off!

"I was told to find some rare and vintage guitars for rent, knowing that probably nothing might appear, and magically we found Iain with this beauty, went for copper and we found gold!"

Thanks to Ed for the lovely review! The guitar he's talking about is a bit special, for sure - a 1970 Gibson ES-355 TDSV, all that cherry red, mother-of-pearl and gold. And it wasn't just that guitar. It was one of six vintage beauties for a secret session at one of London's most famous recording studios . . . And that's as much as I can say!

"Always a pleasure dealing with Iain (4th time customer). Great instruments in general (especially this one) and additional items in very good condition. Get your instruments from here!"

Many thanks to Tuomas and Joni, from Finnish band Airi's, for once again hiring two flat-top classics - the 1974 Martin D-28 and 1993 Gibson J-200 - for their latest open mic in London. Four times they've hired now, and always an absolute pleasure!

"I recommend everyone to hire from Iain, very nice, communication is very perfect and good. Amp was good, did the very job for our church."

It doesn't happen often, but every once in a while, the name of this hire business perfectly matches the hirer's. Big thanks to Eric Yaw from the Faith Of Zion Ministry in South East London for hiring the Peavey MAX 115 bass amp for a Sunday service in May.

"Iain was really helpful, organised and professional - would highly recommend!"

Many thanks to internationally acclaimed classical guitarist Laura Snowden for hiring! For her solo performances in concert halls across the world, she can usually rely on the acoustics of the venue. But this time, she was playing with the UK's Berkeley Ensemble, and needed something to lift her guitar alongside the orchestra. The AER Compact 60 acoustic amp did the job perfectly!

"This is a great little guitar with a big sound. Perfect for my size 6 hands and for inspiring wonderful sing-a-long fun far too late into the night. Thank you, Iain! We are looking forward to a repeat performance next year."

Hats off to Margaret for dedication! The first thing she did after her long-haul flight was to drop by to collect the Little Martin for her stay in London. Most of us would have rested. But what a perfect companion for her stay and sing-alongs with family and friends through the week!

"Great, quick and responsive - thanks Iain!"

Artist Mario Suardiaz needed something special for his Britpop-inspired project . . . it took nanoseconds to land on the Epiphone Union Jack Supernova. The only one it could be!

"A lovely, easy to play guitar. I hired it for a recording and concert and had no issues. Iain was very friendly, pick up and drop off was very straight forward."

Not just any recording, not just any concert, but two performances, both live on BBC Radio 3, one at London's Wigmore Hall! Professional lutenist Danny Murphy needed the right steel-string guitar for A String Through Time, a mixed programme of classical, traditional and modern pieces with countertenor Hugh Cutting, Tara Viscardi on harp, and Leo Appel on viola. Not my usual brief, but the Martin D-18VS, with its wider flatter fretboard and 12th fret neck was perfect for Danny. And sounded wonderful!

"Seamless delivery, great attention to detail, nice guitar. Thanks Iain."

Many thanks to US singer/songwriter/composer David Poe for taking the venerable Gibson J-200 out to play. David was in London for the world premiere of Rambert Dance Company's Analogue - for which he composed the music. But he still found time for an intimate set with Robert Vincent at Barnes' Bull's Head on 4 May 2024 - a magical evening!
