Hirer Feedback
Don't take my word for it. This is what matters most!
"Renting from Iain was great, would highly recommend him. Lovely guitars and he is very knowledgeable ❤️"
Many thanks to Adiba, aka DJ Dibs, for hiring Kimberley Rew's SG 62 Reissue for her Mothaland HQ showcase at London's Ninety One Living Room on May Day. Amazing line-up. That SG can now add the smooth R&B of Belgian singer/songwriter Latanya Alberto to its CV. It's not only rock and roll!

"I am visiting from California and was looking for a guitar to rent while here in London to keep my fingers working. I did a Google search and found Gods Own Guitars so I thought I’d give it a try. Wow, I’m so glad I did. Iain was absolutely great to do business with. A very honest, friendly and personable guy, Iain exceeded my expectations with his very high level of customer service. The blue Telecaster I rented from Iain was in excellent condition and was set up perfectly. The cost of the rental was very reasonable and Iain even provided a guitar stand, tuner, cleaning cloth and picks! I highly recommend Gods Own Guitars to anyone looking for a great guitar rental experience in London. I will definitely rent from Gods Own Guitars next time I’m in London, Iain is the best!"
All modesty aside, big thanks to Tracy for the hire of the 92 Mexican Tele. I think he loved it! Just an amazing guitar, now 32 years old, and loving its life in the hands of so many hirers!

"I rented the Epi Supernova Union Jack for the studio as I did not want to fly with mine. Iain was great and the process, drop off and return were painless. The guitar was in pristine condition. Many headaches avoided by renting here. Highly recommend. Thanks, Iain"
You may have the same guitar at home, but if you need it in London, why go through the hassle, cost and risk of flying it over when there's the alternative of hiring an exact match? Which is just what international producer George Glennon did on his latest trip to London - hiring the 2002 Epiphone Union Jack Supernova for a studio shoot, even the same year as his. Seamless!

"A true professional, Iain provided us with an awesome amp on a very short notice. Would definitely rent again and recommend!"
Many thanks to Iaroslav for hiring the AER Compact 60/2 acoustic/vocal amp for an intimate acoustic gig by Nemnogo Nervno, brainchild of Ukrainian singer/songwriter Ekaterina Gopenko. Just her beautiful voice, her guitar, and the AER Compact 60 to bring it all together. Check out the video in the link!

Many thanks to Eldar for the return hire of the Arctic White Strat. This time for a week's studio sessions - looking forward to hearing the results!

"What a beautiful instrument! Hiring process super smooth."
In a nutshell, and just how it should be. Many thanks to French guitarist Jean-Bernard for hiring the Yamaha LA-8 for a long weekend to play with a friend who he first met over 50 years ago. The years rolled away, and they played just as they did when they first met. Wonderful story!

"Iain was so lovely to work with! Flexible, friendly, and this guitar was great! Played it at a gig and it sounded/looked incredible. Would definitely rent again."
Big thanks to US indie singer/songwriter Jesse Detor and her band for hiring a pair of Fender beauties for her London debut at Camden's Canal Bar. This one the utterly iconic Fender Jag-Stang in Sonic Blue - made to be played live!

"Absolutely loved this bass. Gorgeous and sounded amazing. Iain was a pleasure to meet and work with. Would recommend!"
All that jazz. One of two guitars hired by Jesse Detor and band for her London debut at Camden's Canal Bar. A proper vintage bass, the 1976 Fender Jazz, in Olympic White, beautifully faded to ivory, and sounding immense!

"We hired this guitar for Keiji Haino's 3 day residency event in London this March. Keiji is very particular about the guitars he uses and how they were set up, and God's Own Guitars did a brilliant job preparing it exactly as specified. On top of that all the correspondence, delivery and pick up was on time and spot on. Thanks so much!"
Many thanks to Fielding at OTO Projects for arranging the hire of the 1989 Gibson SG 62 Reissue for Japanese multi-musician Keiji Haino. He wanted a particular set-up for the guitar, and pleased as punch all went to plan. Now into his 6th decade of live performance, and still one of the most extraordinary and innovative artists out there. Check out the video in the link to see the amazing things he does with an SG!

"It has been an incredible experience, whenever I need a guitar in London I will contact Iain. Personalized and very professional attention!"
I'm sure the incredible experience was more to do with Ismael and fellow bandmates in Spanish band Vecinos making their London debut in March 2024 - at latest hot venue Dream Bags & Jaguar Shoes. How great is that! A double hire, with fellow guitarist Miguel, pairing the Arctic White Stratocaster with the Metallic Blue Telecaster. Perfect neighbours ;-).

"Iain has very good material. He is a very professional person. We are going to recommend him to anyone who needs a guitar in London."
Many thanks to Miguel from Spanish band Vecinos, making their UK debut at Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes in London in March 2024. A joint hire with fellow guitarist Ismael - the perfect pairing of the Arctic White Stratocaster and Metallic Blue Telecaster.

"Iain was brilliant and very easy to rent with. Great communication, very accommodating and would 100% rent from him again!"
Not a guitar this time, but the truly versatile 2010 Peavey MAX 115 bass amp, hired by Stephen for an end-of-term school concert. Just one 15" speaker, but loaded with enough circuitry to give you anything from vintage boom to modern attack. Just what Stephen and his band needed!

"What a great guitar! The instrument itself is fab - great action and setup, controls all smooth and the pickups sound amazing. The hiring process was really easy - pickup and drop-off in London. Great experience all around, and now of course I'm looking for my own single cut guitar :D"
Mission accomplished! Big thanks to Dave for hiring the 60 Reissue Les Paul Goldtop. A dedicated Strat player, but wanted to try the competition for a week while in London. Loved it so much, he's now going to get his own! Can't blame him - that Goldtop plays and sounds amazing!

"The guitar is lovely, sounded great on recordings and handled different tunings really well. Iain is really communicative and it was an easy pickup. Would definitely recommend."
There's something about that Martin D-18VS - pretty much every time it goes out, it comes back with a different and very beautiful open tuning. This time, thanks very much to hirer Tim, for taking it out for a week's sessions in the studio, and returning it in an open Dsus4 tuning - lovely!
