See & Hear It In Action
During all the time I had this one, I never found any video footage of anyone playing one - but always worth a fresh search. In the meantime, check out the Sources & Links below for insights from the Telecaster Discussion Page Reissue forum.
One of 1250 Telecasters made to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of Fender, founded in 1946.
Fender produced limited editions of 6 models to mark the occasion (number of units in brackets):
- 50th American Standard Stratocaster (2500)
- 50th American Standard Stratocaster Left Handed (250)
- 50th American Standard Telecaster (1250)
- 50th American Standard Precision Bass (500)
- 50th American Standard Jazz Bass (500)
- 50th American Standard Jazz Bass V String (500).
Each was shipped with its own individually numbered special commemorative gold neckplate.
This is an American Standard of the time. But distinguished by the gold hardware, commemorative neckplate, 3-ply White-Black-White pickguard, and that to-die-for Antique Sunburst Flame.
Classic Tele tones and a beauty to behold!
